For independent hikers who like a physical challenge, this is the Great Wall tour to pick. Enjoy a hiking on the well- preserved original walls from Huanghuacheng to Xishuiyu with your expert guide. In between, test nerves and hamstrings amid wild and watery countryside on this challenging stretch of wall. You can also do the hike in reverse, which is easier and safer.

Day 1 Beijing- Hike the Great Wall from Huanghuacheng to Xishuiyu

You will be picked up from your hotel lobby at 8:00am and be transferred to Huanghuacheng by private vehicle (1.5 hour). This section of the Great Wall was renovated based on the original style, steep and hazardous. No parapets on neither-side. Follow by the ridge to the top where you can have a bird-eye-view of the reservoir, the awarding spectacular view of the Great Wall in the mountain and lake. Walking downwards on this part of the original wild part to Xishuiyu. The total trek is around 5 to 6 hours, and then you will be transferred back to your hotel in Beijing.
