Day 1
Shanghai
Start your trip from the Jade Buddha Temple in the evening, meeting your guide and receiving your bike and helmet.
You’ll then pedal off on a laid-back 11-mile (18-km) bike excursion through the nighttime streets of Shanghai, listening to informative commentary from your guide as you explore the city.
Head first to the French Concession, a district controlled by the French in the 19th and 20th centuries. The area is known for its European-style streets, lined with terraced cafés and Catholic churches.
Cycle next to Tianzifang (Taikang Road), a district of arts and crafts vendors known for its maze of back alleyways and side streets.
Soon you’ll reach Xintiandi, a pedestrian-friendly area offering a wealth of restaurants, retail stores and entertainment options.
Continue cycling towards the riverside Bund, where you’ll have the chance to admire stunning views of Shanghai’s towering skyline lit up in the dark.
Proceed next to People’s Square, along with Nanjing Road and Maoming Road before ending your cycling trip back at the Jade Buddha Temple.
